Senior Investment Analyst, Distressed Debt

Location: Columbus, Ohio; must reside within 35 miles of One hirify.global Plaza. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Salary: $106,500–$177,500 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze public and private debt investments in distressed and special situations across sectors.
• Provide investment recommendations for existing holdings and new opportunities.
• Develop base-case and downside forecasts, valuation analyses, recovery expectations, and forward-looking scenarios.
• Identify fundamental deterioration, restructuring, reorganization, bankruptcy, and workout situations.
• Assess credit, high-yield bond, leveraged loan, economic, regulatory, legislative, and competitive-market developments.
• Communicate investment theses and updates to portfolio managers, analysts, traders, internal legal partners, and external market participants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA or CFA preferred.
• 4–7 years of related investment experience.
• Experienced understanding of credit research and proficient high-yield and leveraged-loan research skills.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and debt structuring, bank loans, legal documents, restructuring, and workout processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and prior Bloomberg experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
