Sr. Data Scientist, Applied AI/ML

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Develop efficient solutions for AI safety, cyber detection, and LLM-driven applications.
• Lead end-to-end research and development across data sourcing, labeling, modeling, evaluation, benchmarking, and product engineering.
• Define GenAI model architectures, training approaches, deployment strategies, and research direction for new agents and LLMs.
• Drive innovation in LLM reasoning, summarization, interactivity, and cybersecurity applications.
• Balance model accuracy, efficiency, and operational costs for production AI/ML systems.
• Mentor Data Scientists, establish technical standards and evaluation frameworks, and align cross-functional strategy with business goals.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of applied machine learning or research experience developing production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training, post-training, or large-scale deployment.
• Strong technical leadership experience, including mentoring and technical strategy.
• Advanced Python, deep learning frameworks, cloud technologies, GPU technologies, and optimization techniques.
• Outstanding communication skills and experience solving complex technical challenges at scale.

• Research publications in leading AI journals or conferences.
