Finance Business Partner (AI & Software)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary finance business partner for AI/ML and Infrastructure teams across planning, performance management, investment governance, and risk controls.
• Translate technology roadmaps into P&L, cash, capital, runway, and scenario-planning implications.
• Build financial models and rolling forecasts for headcount, OPEX, CAPEX, cloud and GPU infrastructure, LLM API usage, and data infrastructure.
• Track compute and GPU utilization, LLM inference and training costs, data storage, and pipeline expenses while identifying optimization opportunities.
• Develop KPI frameworks, dashboards, reporting packages, variance analyses, and decision frameworks for executives and budget owners.
• Prepare Board and investor materials, support fundraising diligence, and partner with Accounting, IT, Procurement, and ML teams on data quality and cost allocation.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or similar analytical roles.
• Zero-to-one experience building driver-based models, annual planning, rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards, and management reporting.
• Hands-on experience with technology cost management, including cloud infrastructure, compute/GPU, or AI/ML cost structures.
• Strong financial acumen and accounting fluency, with the ability to reconcile imperfect datasets to source systems.
• Clear, concise communication skills and experience influencing cross-functional leaders and presenting to executives and the Board.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Startup or scale-up experience.
• Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, cloud economics, and FinOps-style cost visibility and optimization frameworks.
• Experience modeling LLM inference and training costs.
• Experience implementing or scaling FP&A processes in planning tools.
