Part-time Field Evaluation Engineer

Location: Suwanee, Georgia, USA; field travel within and outside the US required for approximately 50–75% of the time.

Salary: $40.00–$50.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct safety evaluations, field labeling evaluations, and equipment testing at installation sites in accordance with hirify.global CRS US Field Evaluation Body requirements.
• Manage assignments, review pre-evaluation documents, interpret specifications, and execute inspections within defined time and cost estimates.
• Prepare accurate field evaluation reports and required documentation within established deadlines.
• Communicate evaluation results to customers and review responses to non-compliance reports when required.
• Schedule travel, estimate and submit travel and expense costs, and minimize travel time and expenses.
• Perform occasional product testing in the hirify.global laboratory and follow hirify.global policies, procedures, and Integrity Policy.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a technical degree/equivalent training and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, UL and NFPA safety standards, SEMI S2 safety standards, and related safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel within and outside the US approximately 50–75% of the time.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including communication with hirify.global personnel and clients outside the US.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet tools.
• Experience operating hand-held multimeters, amp probes, dielectric testers, insulation resistance testers, and temperature recording equipment.
• Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handle ambiguity, and interpret specifications to satisfy customer requirements.
• Accuracy, presentation skills, adaptability, and good team spirit.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of European Machinery and Low Voltage Directives, EN 60204, and Functional Safety Standards.
