What you will do
- Define and evolve the Query Execution product roadmap, balancing customer and business needs with scalability, reliability, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
- Partner with technical leads across Search API, indexing, infrastructure, and security to translate complex challenges into product priorities.
- Gather requirements, create feature briefs, facilitate workshops, communicate progress, and align stakeholders on scope and priorities.
- Monitor search technology, market trends, and competitors while identifying opportunities for experimentation and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Lead product discovery and experimentation for emerging technical opportunities.
- Build customer feedback loops and incorporate field insights into prioritization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management or a closely related role.
- Ability to independently own moderately complex initiatives and turn ambiguous needs into clear requirements and priorities.
- Strong technical acumen and ability to collaborate with highly technical engineering teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to structure complex product decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience with search, information retrieval, indexing, distributed systems, infrastructure, or other technically complex software products.
- Familiarity with AI, semantic search, vector search, and emerging search technologies.
- Experience using customer, market, and competitive insights to influence product direction.
- Experience improving product practices and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
