What you will do

• Define quality strategies, standards, test architecture, and practices for complex product and platform initiatives.
• Build and maintain automated UI, API, backend, performance, load, stress, soak, and scalability testing.
• Lead cross-functional quality initiatives across engineering, product, UX, infrastructure, and development teams.
• Integrate non-functional requirement validation and performance tests into CI/CD quality gates.
• Establish performance SLAs, profile systems, and analyze resource utilization in production-like environments.
• Investigate production issues and improve monitoring, observability, resilience, and incident prevention.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, including leadership of quality for major products or platforms.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java, with experience in modern test automation frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of testing methodologies, performance and load testing, HTTP, REST, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with Artillery, JMeter, Gatling, MongoDB performance tuning, and profiling.
• Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Harness.
• Ability to work on-site in the San Jose/Bay Area and collaborate in person with engineering leadership; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or other cloud-native architectures.
• Experience in fintech, accounting, or B2B SaaS domains.
• Exposure to chaos engineering, failure testing, distributed tracing, profiling, security, or compliance testing.
