Salary: $136,000–$157,000 for Tier 3 U.S. markets, $145,000–$163,000 for Tier 2 markets, or $165,000–$185,500 for Tier 1 markets, plus bonus.

What you will do

• Own and expand the quality engineering operating model across all product lines.
• Harden agent-generated API, UI, integration, contract, performance, and end-to-end testing pipelines.
• Run test review and activation workflows while maintaining review service-level agreements.
• Enforce evidence-based release gates, exit criteria, waivers, and sign-off accountability.
• Build agent-verdict calibration, escape-rate tracking, quality metrics, and manual-test demotion processes.
• Partner with engineering leaders, mentor engineers and QA teammates, and embed developer-owned quality into CI/CD.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or SDET roles, including leadership across multiple engineering teams.
• Experience with agentic or AI-assisted quality workflows, agent-generated test coverage, computer-use testing, or LLM evaluation.
• Strong software engineering skills and experience with Java and TypeScript code and test automation.
• Expertise in automated testing for enterprise SaaS, distributed systems, cloud-native applications, CI/CD, and testable architectures.
• Experience with evidence-based release governance, quality metrics, technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team influence.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Quality Engineering Architect, or senior SDET.
• Production experience with intelligent test generation, autonomous test maintenance, or agent-driven quality workflows.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, REST Assured, JUnit/TestNG, Cypress, Xray, Jira, Kubernetes, serverless systems, microservices, and observability platforms.
• Experience with shift-left testing, testing pyramids, spec-driven development, and test management as a system of record.
