IT Systems DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote, with applicants based in the United States and authorized to work for any U.S. employer; listed locations are Lakeland, Florida and Denver, Colorado.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and monitor automation services connecting business systems.
• Implement, maintain, and optimize DevOps practices across engineering, development, and production environments.
• Design reliable solutions that streamline systems, processes, and operational workflows.
• Coordinate release management activities and support consistent, controlled deployments.
• Administer version control systems and maintain DevOps tools and infrastructure.
• Create technical and operational documentation to support knowledge transfer and ongoing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of DevOps experience and 3 years of infrastructure or systems engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud platforms, plus working knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, and JVM-based server environments.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• AWS architecture certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby.
