Senior Manager / Director of Engineering, Consumer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing organization of 8–12+ engineers across multiple teams.
• Set the multi-year technical, product, and organizational strategy for the consumer experience.
• Build an AI-powered health companion providing personalized, proactive health guidance.
• Stay hands-on with architecture, pair programming, coding, code reviews, and on-call responsibilities.
• Partner with product, design, clinical, analytics, and executive leaders on roadmaps, requirements, planning, and investment decisions.
• Improve system design, code quality, observability, reliability, scalability, and team operating practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern full-stack technologies.
• 4+ years of hands-on engineering management experience.
• Experience hiring engineers and managing performance, promotions, and career development.
• Strong technical depth, including proficiency with React, TypeScript, Node, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
• Ability to contribute directly through pair programming and hands-on technical work.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
