Procurement Category Manager | Professional Services

Location: Hybrid work in Columbus, Ohio, with in-person collaboration two days per week

Salary: $97,000–$180,000 annually; expected starting range: $97,000–$145,000

What you will do

• Manage sourcing requests, contract pipelines, and vendor agreements across multimillion-dollar procurement categories.
• Develop category strategies through industry research, benchmark analysis, purchasing-trend monitoring, and supplier evaluation.
• Build demand forecasts, service-level requirements, total-cost-of-ownership models, risk requirements, and cost-reduction recommendations.
• Lead competitive RFP, RFQ, and RFI activities and negotiate contracts, clauses, conditions, and service-level agreements.
• Assess supplier risk and coordinate reviews with Information Risk Management, Technology Review Boards, Privacy, Finance, and Technology stakeholders.
• Mentor associates and support procurement policy, process, sustainability, and sourcing-skill development.

Requirements

• Typically eight or more years of supply chain management experience, including relationship management, or equivalent related experience.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, procurement practices, legal considerations, financial controls, and enterprise business objectives.
• Experience developing supplier relationships, negotiating with vendors, influencing without direct authority, and leading project teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Undergraduate degree in supply chain, procurement, business, finance, accounting, management information systems, economics, or a related field is preferred.
