Counsel, Auto PD Claims Strategy & Partnerships (Auto Claims)

Location: Remote within the United States, with preference for a primary hirify.global office in Columbus, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; or Scottsdale, Arizona. Hybrid work is available. The position may be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states.

Salary: $138,000–$243,000 annually; expected starting range: $138,000–$206,000.

What you will do

• Advise the auto, powersports, and RV businesses on complex physical damage claims, repair processes, and related legal matters.
• Support strategy, innovation, AI-related solutions, partnerships, and initiatives adjacent to claims operations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks in ambiguous, novel, high-exposure, and strategically significant situations.
• Translate legal considerations into practical solutions and challenge business leaders when necessary.
• Advise senior leaders on case law, legislation, regulatory matters, and long-term business consequences.
• Build relationships with business partners, lead complex matters, and potentially supervise or mentor legal resources.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
• Full attorney licensure in good standing and compliance with continuing legal education requirements in the state or states of practice.
• Typically six or more years of relevant legal experience and demonstrated business knowledge.
• Experience advising on auto physical damage claims programs, partnerships, and processes at an enterprise or multi-jurisdictional level.
• Knowledge of complex legal practices, insurance policies, contracts, statutes, and regulations, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be located in the United States; remote work is limited to the United States.
