Salary: $65,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

  • Support the Department of Energy’s Weatherization Assistance Program across the full grant lifecycle, from application and plan review through post-award monitoring and closeout.
  • Provide desktop and on-site monitoring of grant recipients.
  • Evaluate technical submissions, identify corrective actions, and recommend refined project requirements.
  • Track milestones, budgets, and technical targets against approved recipient plans and report discrepancies to Project Officers.
  • Review performance and financial reports for compliance with statutes, program guidance, and award terms.
  • Maintain official grant documentation in DOE systems and perform quality assurance reviews of closeout files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, environmental sciences, or a related discipline; six years of relevant education or experience may substitute.
  • At least six years of relevant experience; a master’s degree may substitute for two years.
  • Experience with the Federal Government, preferably the Department of Energy.
  • Experience with financial assistance documentation and financial tracking systems.
  • Experience in technical writing, editing, document development and production, layout, and desktop publishing.
  • Knowledge of modeling, measurement, mathematics, statistics, operational research, and economic disciplines, with experience applying operational research principles to evaluate systems and develop solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting the Weatherization Assistance Program.
  • Experience supporting the Office of State and Community Energy Programs or the Department of Energy.
  • Familiarity with DOE systems.
