What you will do

• Design, assess, implement, optimize, and maintain Cerner clinical applications and related IT solutions.
• Establish and improve clinical workflows across provider, nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, medication administration, and other hospital functions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, hospital leadership, IT teams, internal resources, and vendors on application changes, upgrades, testing, and go-lives.
• Provide first- and second-level end-user support, troubleshoot application errors and inbound/outbound interfaces, and manage issues through resolution.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators, track project progress, resolve problems, and escalate risks as needed.
• Create user documentation and procedures, train clinicians, and represent clinical operations on IT committees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience implementing, testing, and supporting clinical applications.
• At least 1 year of healthcare information technology consulting experience.
• Clinical workflow experience is required.
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities, drive change initiatives, and present effectively to executives and chief clinicians.
• LA City Fire Life Safety Training is required; if not held at hire, it must be obtained within 30 days and renewed before expiration.

Nice to have

• Cerner experience.
• Experience as a licensed clinical or healthcare worker.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
