Director of Engineering for AI Enterprise

Location: Hybrid in Menlo Park, California, or Bellevue, Washington; up to 25% travel may be required for customer and global team engagements.

Salary: $264,000–$379,500 annually.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and scale a high-performing global AI Solutions engineering organization.
• Define the technical vision, organizational structure, and long-term strategy for the AI Solutions team.
• Lead the design, development, and end-to-end production deployment of AI and machine learning solutions using Snowflake Cortex and Snowflake ML.
• Act as the senior engineering authority in engagements with Fortune 100 customers and go-to-market teams.
• Influence headcount, budget, product roadmaps, and strategic planning while partnering with Product, Research, Sales, Delivery, and Customer Success.
• Drive improvements in AI methodologies and represent Snowflake’s AI capabilities within the technical community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in an Engineering Director role managing managers.
• Hands-on expertise building and deploying AI/ML solutions using LLMs, natural language processing, and generative AI technologies.
• Experience delivering complex software solutions to enterprise customers and understanding large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations across multiple geographic locations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, strategic planning, project management, and execution skills.
