Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote - US. Work from home with occasional local and national travel to professional offices and events; some overnight travel is expected.

Salary: $175,000–$217,000 USD base salary per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and improve the product through investigation flows, security-tool integrations, and bug fixes.
• Evolve investigation logic and pipelines for new classes of security alerts while balancing accuracy, performance, and maintainability.
• Contribute production Python code and influence architectural decisions and long-term product strategy.
• Review AI-performed investigations, identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities, and translate findings into product enhancements.
• Partner with go-to-market and customer success teams to prioritize impactful features and technical direction.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, and periodically participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development or security engineering.
• Strong experience writing production Python code.
• Experience with security detections, SOAR, detection and response, threat hunting, security tooling, or security products.
• Understanding of modern security best practices, investigation techniques, and threat hunting techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in an early-stage startup environment, handle ambiguity, and deliver features quickly.
