Director, Senior Technical Architect (AI)

Location: On-premise in the United States, with primary location in New York City; additional locations include Tampa, Collegeville, Groton, La Jolla, Bothell, and Walton Oaks, UK. On-site work is strongly preferred. Remote work is considered only for internal candidates already designated as remote.

Annual base salary: $162,900–$271,500 in the United States; Tampa salary range: $146,600–$244,400. Eligible for a 20% bonus target and a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Shape architecture and technology strategy for high-priority Executive Leadership Team AI programs.
• Define target and reference architectures, technical standards, integration patterns, and architectural guardrails.
• Align AI programs with enterprise platforms, including agent, data, memory, and security platforms.
• Advise senior business and Digital leaders by translating ambiguous AI goals into practical architecture choices and measurable outcomes.
• Establish responsible AI, reliability, security, documentation, observability, governance, and operational excellence practices.
• Mentor engineering and delivery teams and raise technical standards through influence rather than direct authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience, master’s degree with at least 7 years, or PhD with 5 or more years.
• Experience defining architecture and technology strategy for significant programs, products, or technology domains, preferably AI or data-intensive.
• Hands-on expertise in modern engineering, cloud platforms, data and integration patterns, APIs, AI/ML services, security, and reliability.
• Experience acting as a technical advisor or design authority and guiding teams through influence.
• Experience partnering with senior business and Digital stakeholders on high-visibility programs.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required. U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

• Degree in technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a highly regulated global enterprise with complex compliance, privacy, security, and risk requirements.
• Experience architecting AI, agentic, or automation solutions and applying platform reuse.
• Recognized expertise in agentic platforms, LLMs, data platforms, cloud, and enterprise integration.
