Head of Compliance (Crypto)

hirify.global builds infrastructure for consumer-facing fintech applications, including onboarding, account access, and money movement across blockchain-based systems.

What you will do

• Build and own the compliance hirify.globalction as the first compliance hire.
• Design and manage the sanctions program, including screening standards, escalation, decisioning, recordkeeping, and reporting.
• Create policies, procedures, and risk assessments for hirify.global's non-custodial DeFi and fiat-crypto rails.
• Select, implement, and manage blockchain analytics and screening vendors.
• Embed compliance controls into product and engineering decisions during rail design.
• Direct outside advisors and determine which compliance capabilities to build internally or procure.

Requirements

• At least eight years of compliance experience, including meaningful experience at a crypto or DeFi company, digital asset exchange, or financial institution with a serious digital assets practice.
• Practical command of OFAC sanctions requirements as applied to on-chain activity.
• Direct experience with non-custodial or self-custody product architectures is required.
• Fluency with blockchain analytics tooling and the ability to conduct on-chain investigations independently.
• Strong policy writing, judgment, and written communication skills.
• Comfort operating as the first and only compliance hire and building a compliance hirify.globalction from the ground up.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing a compliance program from zero at an early-stage company.
• Exposure to money transmission, MSB registration, or state licensing frameworks.
• Regulatory, enforcement, policy, trade association, or private-practice experience.
• Familiarity with card scheme rules and fiat payment-rail compliance.
