Deputy General Counsel, Employment Law (Crypto)

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York or San Jose, United States offices.

Salary: $200,355–$300,533 annually, plus potential performance bonus and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Manage global employment, HR, recruiting, and legal matters for OKX and its affiliated entities, with a primary focus on US operations and global support.
• Advise HR, finance, compliance, recruiting, and business leaders on employment law and workforce matters.
• Drive employment litigation and arbitration strategy, including retaining and supervising outside counsel.
• Advise on internal investigations, employee relations, payroll, executive compensation, benefits, performance management, immigration, and visa issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate offer letters, employment agreements, incentive plans, and severance agreements.
• Build structured, best-in-class employment legal processes and infrastructure and partner with senior regional leadership.

Requirements

• US attorney license required.
• 9+ years of experience handling international employment matters at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Experience with cross-jurisdictional matters and global legal teams.
• Strong analytical, advisory, communication, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage, multicultural environment and collaborate effectively with legal and business teams.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment and compensation-related agreements.
