Manager, Program Management (Defense/Shipbuilding): Leading program managers and overseeing multiple shipyard and defense programs across development, integration, installation, and upgrade projects with an accent on governance, portfolio performance, and customer engagement. Focus on managing cost, schedule, technical performance, program risks, budgets, proposals, and cross-functional execution.
Location: Federal Equipment Co, 5298 River Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States of America. Proof of US citizenship and an attestation of no dual citizenship are required for NOFORN access. Approximately 25% travel is required.

What you will do
- Lead the Program Management Office team, including program managers and project leads, and establish consistent processes, tools, and performance expectations.
- Oversee portfolio reviews covering cost, schedule, technical performance, risks, opportunities, budgets, manpower, and baseline management.
- Serve as a primary customer contact for program execution, business management, and risk discussions.
- Present consolidated materials for program, executive, and line-of-business reviews.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functions to maintain program execution and delivery.
- Lead or support proposals, change proposals, strategic planning, KPI development, and follow-on business activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Formal program management experience, typically 8–10 years, leading increasingly complex projects and programs.
- At least 5 years of experience leading program managers, project managers, or cross-functional teams.
- Experience with senior-leader briefings, customer relationships, risk management, strategic planning, budgets, forecasts, margins, cost to complete, revenue recognition, and financial risk.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, lead cross-functional teams, solve complex problems, and develop program managers.
- US citizenship with no dual citizenship is required for access to NOFORN information.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree, such as an MBA or MS in Engineering or Program Management.
- Navy shipbuilding or equivalent defense and shipyard program experience.
- Experience with FFP, FPIF, and CPIF contracts; large-scale development programs; Control Account Management; and Earned Value Management Systems.
