Manager, Daily Valuation & NAV Accounting (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Hybrid; open to candidates anywhere in the United States, preferably Chicago

hirify.global is recruiting for a client developing daily valuation and NAV accounting services for institutional real estate portfolios.

What you will do

• Lead daily valuation and NAV calculations covering property values, debt positions, equity, working capital, projected net investment income, and share-price reporting.
• Manage multiple client engagements, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, priorities, and client expectations.
• Coordinate quarterly valuation updates and oversee material event analysis involving leases, bankruptcies, and significant market or property developments.
• Review projected results against actual outcomes, investigate material variances, and determine follow-up actions.
• Provide technical review and quality oversight while directly managing one analyst initially and supporting future team growth.
• Modernize workflows, templates, documentation, and tools through standardization, automation, AI, coaching, and knowledge-sharing practices.

Requirements

• Strong accounting background with direct experience supporting NAV calculations or NAV reporting.
• Experience in daily valuation, real estate fund accounting, valuation advisory, commercial real estate valuation, investment reporting, or financial reporting is relevant.
• Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to review financial analyses, projections, valuation work, system-generated reports, and client deliverables for technical quality.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
• University or college degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience with Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, or similar accounting and financial systems.
• Certified general state license or MAI designation.
• Experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring team members.
