Lecturer in Computing Science

Location: London campuses in Holborn, Fitzrovia, Southall, Wembley, Kingsbury and Harrow; face-to-face teaching with flexibility to travel to all campus locations.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience.

What you will do

• Deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials across computing-related modules.
• Design, update and maintain teaching materials and digital learning platforms.
• Set, assess and provide feedback on student assignments and examinations.
• Support students academically and pastorally, including learners with additional support needs.
• Contribute to quality assurance, module and programme evaluations, scholarship and curriculum improvement.
• Lead modules and coordinate with associate lecturers where applicable.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant computing-related field.
• Experience teaching in higher education and strong digital teaching capability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of higher education quality assurance and validation processes.
• Flexible, student-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including possible evenings and weekends, and travel between all London campuses.

Nice to have

• PhD, near-completion PhD or equivalent industry experience.
• Research or enterprise activity involvement.
• Teaching qualification such as FHEA, SHEA, PGCAP or AHEA.
• Experience leading modules or academic teams.
