Staff Software Engineer (Customer Platform)

What you will do

• Own platform features end to end, from design and implementation through rollout and iteration.
• Design, build, and evolve backend systems in Go, including REST and gRPC APIs for entitlements, policies, and customer onboarding.
• Act as the technical interface between Customer Platform and engineering teams working on containers, libraries, and OS packages.
• Build integration paths and align technical standards, patterns, and shared infrastructure across teams.
• Extend the agentic AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while helping the team prioritize tradeoffs and deliver iteratively.

Requirements

• Production experience with Go.
• Strong experience designing, shipping, and operating backend systems and APIs at scale.
• Experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams on technical standards, integration patterns, and shared infrastructure.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations by developing a diagnosis, recommendation, and path forward.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and provide technical guidance without a formal management title.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud provider APIs.
• Experience with entitlements, billing systems, or platform infrastructure.
• Previous experience building or extending AI-powered product features.
