Senior Director, PX Shared Services (Biotechnology)

Location: South San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days per week on campus. No relocation benefits are available.

Salary: $197,800–$367,400 annually, plus potential discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Patient Resource Center leadership supporting complex patient support activities, advocacy referrals, and international requests.
• Own enterprise workforce planning and capacity management, translating demand signals into staffing plans that improve service performance and cost efficiency.
• Establish vendor management and third-party governance frameworks covering quality, service levels, financial performance, and accountability.
• Lead quality and process excellence teams responsible for regulatory compliance, audit readiness, SOP discipline, and continuous optimization.
• Integrate external partner services and optimize cross-functional workflows and operational handoffs.
• Drive automation, digital enablement, and service expansion initiatives that scale patient support capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 12–15 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry.
• 5+ years of direct people leadership experience in complex organizations.
• Experience managing complex vendor relationships and third-party governance.
• Strong leadership presence, storytelling, strategic negotiation, and cross-functional influence skills.
• Deep understanding of patient access pathways, reimbursement operations, call center environments, and hirify.global Patient Foundation workflows.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
• Experience optimizing global operating models, offshore service integrations, and technology-driven process improvements.
