Software Engineer I, Infrastructure (C++/Python)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the London office

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test code changes for Core Infrastructure.
• Maintain and scale Tier 0 infrastructure hosting and routing requests to hundreds of microservices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical infrastructure issues.
• Review code and collaborate with engineers who use the infrastructure to solve technical problems.
• Use AI tools to streamline workflows and improve productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the London office.
• Proficiency with a high-level programming language.
• Strong technical, collaborative, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with C++, Python, and Linux.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure components, preferably AWS.
• Exposure to Kubernetes.
• Previous professional experience in software engineering or a similar field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
