Company
A global leader in secure edge intelligence and semiconductors, providing AI and breakthrough technologies for vehicles, factories, hospitals, and homes.
What you will do
- Provide technical leadership on motor-control architecture, MCU selection, and software integration for robotics platforms.
- Act as a system-level expert for actuation subsystems, coordinating motor-control nodes with compute and motion-planning layers.
- Partner with customers to design joint modules, servo drives, and high-precision encoder subsystems.
- Perform PCB reviews, bench bring-up, and root-cause analysis using lab tools such as oscilloscopes and power analyzers.
- Validate and tune current, speed, and position control loops to meet deterministic latency requirements.
- Deliver proof-of-concept builds and lead technical training workshops and deep-dives for customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development or applications support for microcontroller-based motor-control systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ firmware development and debugging with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
- Hands-on experience with Field-Oriented Control (FOC), BLDC/PMSM motors, and sensorless commutation.
- Strong knowledge of PWM timers, ADCs, and high-current PCB design for noisy power-stage layouts.
- Willingness to travel, primarily within North America.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with real-time motion-control communication: CAN FD, EtherCAT, or TSN-based synchronization.
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) standards.
- Familiarity with ARM Cortex MCUs and RTOS platforms like FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or NuttX.
- Experience with secure-boot and secure-element integration.
Culture & Benefits
