Senior Software Developer (TypeScript/React/Node.js)

Location: Canada

Salary: $128,300–$203,000 CAD per year in base salary, plus eligibility for hirify.global’s stock program and benefits.

hirify.global develops the hirify.global Search AI Platform for search, security, observability, and real-time data analysis.

What you will do

• Design and implement UI components for Fleet in Kibana and the Streams log-data management tool.
• Develop full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, integrating frontend components with backend services.
• Own complex, loosely defined projects end-to-end, from shaping the approach and making technical decisions to delivery.
• Lead architecture and system-design discussions, considering compatibility, performance, scale, and security.
• Establish coding standards, promote reusable components, support automated testing and deployment, and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate asynchronously with designers, product managers, and a distributed engineering team.

Requirements

• Production experience with full-stack JavaScript, preferably TypeScript, including React and Node.js.
• Experience leading non-trivial projects with design ownership and minimal guidance.
• Strong architecture and system-design judgment, including work in large existing codebases.
• Experience designing and launching user interface components and working with AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, a user-focused mindset, and enthusiasm for asynchronous collaboration.
• Ability to improve engineering practices and raise the effectiveness of other engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with the hirify.global stack, observability, or log and data-ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with Go, Kubernetes, or cloud-native application development.
• Experience building large data-heavy interfaces with search, filtering, tables, streaming, or real-time data.
• Open-source or working-in-the-open experience, or experience on a developer-facing platform team.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading a small project team.
