Software Development Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, or New York, New York, USA

Salary: $158,100–$213,800 USD annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed machine learning systems and large-scale software solutions.
• Build short- and long-term memory capabilities for autonomous AI agents.
• Design scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant services for a tier-zero AWS product.
• Drive system architecture, engineering best practices, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with applied scientists to influence technical strategy.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional, non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
• Experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications and services.
• Experience with at least one of C#, C++, Java, or Perl, plus object-oriented design and software programming.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with full software development life cycle practices is preferred.
