Senior Full Stack Engineer (Manufacturing Systems)

Location: Los Angeles, California; full-time onsite presence in Hawthorne is required five days a week, with very limited exceptions.

Salary: $150,000–$225,000 per year, plus stock options.

What you will do

• Architect and implement an enterprise software platform connecting business processes from sales through manufacturing.
• Build applications tracking the end-to-end lifecycle and genealogy of millions of parts across thousands of customers.
• Design and develop the Manufacturing Execution System supporting quoting, work orders, scheduling, production, quality, and delivery.
• Build scalable, resilient, secure systems for complex factory workflows and large volumes of machine and production data.
• Maintain accessible and reliable backend data models for business intelligence users.
• Develop intuitive functional user interfaces and collaborate with product, software, manufacturing, automation, and quality engineering.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python, Go, Java, or similar technologies.
• Experience with backend web frameworks such as Flask or Django.
• Experience with frontend web frameworks such as React or Next.js.
• Experience building applications that interact with SQL and non-relational databases.
• Ability to work onsite in Hawthorne five days per week.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Experience as a team lead, architect, product owner, or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Experience building complex ERP, MRP, MES, CRM, e-commerce, logistics, warehouse management, or fleet management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to gather requirements from technical audiences.
• Comfort working in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
