Platform Architect (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Define and maintain the architecture of cloud platforms and managed services.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient, observable, supportable, and cost-effective platform capabilities, customer solutions, integrations, migrations, and major platform changes.
• Produce architecture diagrams, solution designs, standards, technical roadmaps, implementation guidance, and architectural decisions.
• Participate in hands-on engineering delivery, including infrastructure-as-code, automation, platform components, prototypes, and production solutions.
• Work with Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Security, Quality, Product, Project, and customer teams throughout design and delivery.
• Support performance, capacity, security hardening, observability, resilience, backup, disaster recovery, incident investigations, technology evaluation, and engineering mentorship.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing, building, and operating cloud platforms, preferably AWS, in regulated, business-critical, or highly available environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in platform engineering, cloud, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, including periods of engineering-focused delivery.
• Experience with solution architecture, technical designs, technology roadmaps, complex cloud solutions, migrations, integrations, and platform changes.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code, container platforms, CI/CD, configuration management, and automation using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Kubernetes and Docker experience is required; EKS experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, Linux/Unix, distributed systems, microservices, identity and access management, security, monitoring, resilience, databases, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Fluent English, verbal and written, is required. A bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent professional experience is required.

• AWS or architecture certifications.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL operational requirements.
