Manager, Claims - Field Property (Missouri / Kansas - WFH)

Location: Work from home within the lower 48 U.S. states; preference for Missouri or Kansas. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates. The role may require property inspections, catastrophe-site travel, overnight stays, irregular hours, holidays, and weekends.

Salary: $97,000–$180,000 national range; expected starting range of $97,000–$145,000.

What you will do

• Lead a claims unit responsible for reviewing, adjusting, and paying property damage claims.
• Monitor unit performance objectives, loss costs, expenses, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate resources across quality assurance, fraud, subrogation, claims legal, service centers, vendors, and corporate support.
• Conduct quality assurance file reviews and implement improvement recommendations.
• Recruit, coach, train, develop, retain, and performance-manage claims associates.
• Support catastrophe claims operations, field inspections, special initiatives, and cross-claims coordination.

Requirements

• Eight years of related experience in claims settlement, handling, or management.
• Strong knowledge of claims investigation, file handling, settlement procedures, legal issues, litigation, and insurance operations.
• Proven formal or informal leadership, mentoring, coaching, training, and personnel-management experience.
• Strong customer service, conflict resolution, communication, organization, adaptability, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• State licensing where required and completion of applicable claims certification training or classes.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record; ability to inspect property and accident sites and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
