Claims Analyst (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote in Canada; Montreal, QC

Salary: $21.02 CAD/hour

What you will do

• Analyze health and dental insurance claims to determine whether submitted expenses are eligible.
• Apply coverage provisions, policies, and procedures to approve or deny claims.
• Contact members by phone or in writing to obtain information required for claim processing.
• Enter, update, and validate data in claims processing and member eligibility systems.
• Research and verify claim details, perform manual calculations, and maintain records for self-billed members.
• Provide professional, courteous, and efficient customer service.

Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and spoken French.
• Good written English.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work with multiple computer systems.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of health and dental insurance.
• Completed LOMA 1 and 2 courses in accordance with company policy.
