Medical Billing Specialist

Location: Hybrid work in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CA$22 per hour

hirify.global is a Canadian healthcare orchestration and billing company, with the Medcom division providing medical billing services in British Columbia.

What you will do

• Enter and review medical billing claims accurately and efficiently.
• Apply diagnostic and procedure codes in accordance with billing guidelines.
• Process electronic and paper claim submissions.
• Review remittance advice for discrepancies, denials, and missing information.
• Correct and adjust claims, support reconciliation, and maintain accurate billing documentation.
• Take on additional claim follow-up and reconciliation responsibilities as experience grows.

Requirements

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling a high volume of work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort using computer tools and billing systems.
• Ability to work independently with strong organization and accountability.
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Current authorization to work in Canada and residence in British Columbia are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical field, medical transcription, or medical administration.
