Senior Commercial and Major Contracts Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada (Hybrid)

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 CAD per year, excluding benefits and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop construction and operations contracting and procurement plans, schedules, milestones, and cost optimization strategies.
• Lead competitive RFP processes, define evaluation criteria, negotiate and award contracts, and assess supplier and contractor performance.
• Prepare major construction, equipment supply, and operations contract documents with legal, engineering, construction, and operations stakeholders.
• Maintain supplier and contractor relationships, pricing databases, and market trend analyses across the United States and Canada.
• Support project development, acquisitions, construction execution, procurement improvements, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Guide construction teams during execution and coordinate disputes, litigation-related activities, and project closeout.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in a similar commercial, contracts, or procurement role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• Experience with procurement and contract negotiation for wind and solar projects in the United States and/or Canada.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy project development, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

• Specialization in wind and solar energy.
• Knowledge of French and/or Spanish.
