Manager, Special Projects (Healthcare)

Location: NL Head Office MHNL, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

Salary: $89,000–$110,000 annually, plus eligibility for performance-based incentive programs.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and oversee special programs within the System Support Division.
• Lead provincial integrated healthcare programs as the emergency health system adapts to increasing demand.
• Research and develop opportunities involving safety, logistics, materials management, fleet management, technology, and equipment procurement.
• Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, capital expenditure plans, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Prepare project charters, briefing notes, business case proposals, executive dashboards, and reports.
• Collaborate with divisions and leadership to develop implementation plans and address complex operational challenges.

Requirements

• Degree in health, public administration, or business.
• Seven to ten years of direct business or project management experience.
• Experience leading large-scale technology or equipment-related procurement projects.
• Significant healthcare operational and leadership experience; EMS experience is preferred.
• Experience with business case analysis, KPI development, strategic planning, project budgets, and executive reporting.
• Valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 5 driver's licence in good standing and ability to work from the St. John's office.

Nice to have

• Project Management certification.
• Experience designing and implementing programs.
• Experience creating formula-based spreadsheets, formal reports, and PowerPoint presentations.
