Senior Software Engineer in Test (Playwright)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Embed with Product Engineering teams during technical design to define test strategies and improve feature testability.
• Own the continuous delivery testing gateway, optimizing parallelization, sharding, and containerization to reduce build times and flaky tests.
• Develop end-to-end tests for cloud services and robotics simulations, including mission-scheduling and data-ingestion workflows.
• Architect test-data management with reliable environment setup and teardown processes.
• Build reporting and observability tools that provide actionable visibility into regressions and product health.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in software engineering or test automation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong software engineering skills with TypeScript, JavaScript, or another modern programming language.
• Deep hands-on Playwright experience, including Page Object Models, network interception and mocking, custom fixtures, and multi-authentication state handling.
• Experience with web architectures, REST or GraphQL APIs, DOM inspection, and network debugging.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Nice to have

• Experience testing large or complex products, including microfrontend architectures, real-time data applications, or high-frequency dashboards.
• Background in robotics, IoT, hardware-adjacent software, device testing, emulators, or simulation environments.
• Advanced Docker and AWS or GCP experience for scaling test agents and isolated end-to-end environments.
• Experience improving product observability and aligning test quality with production quality.
