Mobile QA Engineer (Flutter)

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and execute parallelized end-to-end smoke and regression test pipelines for the Flutter mobile app using Patrol, Codemagic, and GitLab CI.
• Develop automated GraphQL API integration and contract tests to validate schema changes against mobile requirements.
• Use Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to generate test scripts, mock payloads, and automated log-triage workflows.
• Review Figma specifications, GraphQL schemas, and pull requests early to identify edge cases, logic gaps, and design issues.
• Monitor Firebase Remote Config, Analytics, Sentry, and GCP Cloud Run logs to investigate issues across Flutter, GraphQL, and backend services.
• Perform exploratory, release, visual regression, and component testing across iOS, Android, physical devices, TestFlight, Google Play internal tracks, and Shorebird OTA updates.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in mobile QA engineering or test automation, including at least 1 year using AI coding tools in daily workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Flutter automation frameworks such as Patrol or Flutter Integration Test, or strong Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso experience.
• Experience testing GraphQL APIs, including schema validation, headers, and JWT authentication flows.
• Familiarity with Figma, Xcode, Android Studio, Firebase Remote Config, feature flags, and mobile app deployment workflows.
• Experience with Codemagic, GitLab CI, Git, and GitLab workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; clear written and spoken English required for remote collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI models with architecture specifications, GraphQL schemas, and UI design tokens to generate test cases and mock payloads.
• Dart and Flutter coding skills, including unit and widget testing, plus Flutter Storybook experience.
• Shorebird, TypeScript, Bun, GCP Cloud Run, GCP Cloud Logging, or Unleash experience.
• Quality engineering, mobile testing, or AI-assisted software engineering certifications.
• Experience testing consumer mobile apps, EdTech products, subscription or billing systems, and onboarding funnels.
