Technical People Operations Specialist (AI)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid work model for office-based teams.

Annual base salary: $110,000–$160,000 USD, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build, administer, and improve People workflows, systems, and internal solutions across the employee lifecycle.
• Design secure systems with role-based permissions and appropriate access to sensitive employee data.
• Build AI agents, dashboards, reporting, decision-support tools, integrations, and automated workflows for People teams, managers, and employees.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, HRIS updates, documentation, employee data, payroll support, benefits administration, audits, and reconciliations.
• Provide tier 0–2 support for employee and manager questions about pay, benefits, leave, policies, and People systems.
• Partner with People, Finance, Legal, and IT to research, design, deploy, document, and iterate solutions that meet legal and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Tech with holistic People Operations service delivery and administration.
• Experience building or managing knowledge bases, case management, ticketing, routing, SLAs, quality measurement, escalation paths, and support deflection.
• Experience with people data, business systems, analytics platforms, or enterprise data infrastructure such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, or Excel.
• Deep familiarity with HRIS and ATS platforms such as Rippling, Greenhouse, Ashby, or similar.
• Experience designing secure systems with role-based access control and data permissioning.
• Strong product instincts, stakeholder management, cross-functional partnership, and experience taking processes or products from scratch to production.

Nice to have

• Agile familiarity with Anthropic, OpenAI, and AI agents.
• Experience with Rippling, Greenhouse, Ramp, Carta, Pave, or Tilt.
