Director, People Operations & Intelligence (AI)

Location: Hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week at the New York City headquarters; occasional travel may be required for company or team events and meetings.

Salary: $173,110–$219,098 base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead employee lifecycle operations, including onboarding, offboarding, workforce changes, service delivery, and operational controls.
• Own the HRIS and broader People technology strategy, roadmap, administration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop AI and automation solutions that improve employee self-service, workflow efficiency, and service delivery.
• Build workforce intelligence capabilities covering headcount, attrition, mobility, organizational health, labor costs, reporting, and data governance.
• Partner with IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and business leaders to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant People systems.
• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary People Operations and HR team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in People Operations, HR Technology, Workforce Analytics, or HR Shared Services.
• Deep knowledge of employee lifecycle workflows, operational controls, data governance, and enterprise HRIS platforms.
• Experience developing enterprise HR technology, automation, and workforce analytics strategies.
• Practical experience applying AI, automation, or low-code tools to eliminate manual work.
• Strong systems-thinking and executive communication skills, with experience aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build, empower, and retain high-performing autonomous teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Paylocity or a comparable enterprise HRIS.
• Experience leading major HRIS implementations, system migrations, or complex organizational transformations.
• Experience supporting rapid growth in a complex, distributed, or regulated environment.
