Automotive Field Technician

Location: Coimbra, Portugal; full availability and flexibility to travel abroad, averaging two weeks per month

What you will do

• Install, uninstall, and reinstall hirify.global Databox units and connected hardware on client vehicles.
• Work at client sites and provide field or remote support for the hirify.global Hardware Solution.
• Diagnose hardware issues, implement fixes, and report problems with proposed solutions.
• Train customers and partners to use hirify.global hardware solutions.
• Create installation manuals and wiring harnesses according to internal procedures.
• Report work progress to the supervisor and project lead.

Requirements

• Technical degree or professional experience in electrical or mechanical fields.
• Category B driver's license.
• Full availability for international travel, including approximately two weeks per month abroad.
• Availability to work weekends and night hours.
• Strong autonomy and ability to work under pressure.
• Independent user of English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with diagnostic equipment and automotive or electrical maintenance.
• Understanding of in-vehicle communication networks and protocols such as OBD, UDS, FMS, ISO 15765, J1939, J1708, and KWP2000.
• Knowledge of Spanish, French, or other languages.

Hiring process
