Senior Security Engineer (DeFi)

Location: Remote from the United States or Canada

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 USD per year, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Partner with the Head of Security to build, operate, and scale the security program.
• Conduct technical security assessments and harden products and systems.
• Develop and implement security policies and controls across the organization.
• Apply AI and LLMs to build reusable automation and tooling adopted by engineers.
• Own security projects end to end, from vendor selection through organization-wide rollout.
• Secure high-value and high-throughput transaction systems protecting on-chain assets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience across product or application security and security operations.
• Experience with technical security assessments, system hardening, security policy development, and control implementation.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI tools.
• Experience applying AI or LLMs to create security automation and reusable tooling.
• Experience owning security projects across multiple teams and securing high-value or high-throughput transaction systems.

Nice to have

• Crypto or blockchain security experience.
