Electronic Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Williamsport, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite plant role

Salary: $38.21–$40.10 per hour

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic control devices and systems using schematics, vendor data, and test equipment.
• Inspect, calibrate, program, and adjust programmable controllers, computers, and AC/DC drives.
• Design new circuitry, modify existing circuitry, and recommend system changes to improve performance, quality, and operating costs.
• Specify electrical and electronic equipment and components, prepare requisitions, and support installation and repair services.
• Assist electricians with preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Document repairs, maintain technical records and software backups, support safety initiatives, and work unscheduled hours when needed.

Requirements

• At least five years of maintenance experience; wire and cable experience is preferred.
• Experience installing, operating, and maintaining manufacturing processes and equipment in continuous operations.
• Ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, frequency meters, signal generators, data loggers, chart recorders, and power demand analyzers.
• Working knowledge of computers, control-system software, serial communications, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to apply and program programmable logic controllers.
• Associate degree in electrical/electronics technology or a related field, or a two-year electrical certificate with applicable experience and willingness to pursue further training.
