What you will do

• Support researchers across the Faculty of Humanities in developing collaborative projects for external funding.
• Build a pipeline of future large grant winners for the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures.
• Provide authoritative advice on grant capture to researchers at all career stages.
• Deliver training to support larger, interdisciplinary team bids.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of research development projects and prepare high-quality materials on time.
• Review research grant budgets and advise on costing and pricing models.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent education, training, or professional experience.
• Substantive experience preparing large, complex grant proposals.
• Knowledge of the UK research funding and research impact or innovation landscape.
• Excellent project management, analytical, numerical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and policies and identify funding trends and opportunities.

Nice to have

• PhD or comparable research experience relevant to the Faculty of Humanities.
• Knowledge of the international funding landscape.
• Experience building teams or facilitating activities across organisational boundaries.
• Understanding of research culture initiatives, research ethics, and open research.
