Policy Analyst (Science Policy) (Research Infrastructure/Science Policy): Developing evidence-based science and innovation policy projects with an accent on research infrastructure, research funding, research workforce, and policy-oriented analysis. Focus on leading international expert groups, conducting surveys and interviews, designing policy frameworks and toolkits, and building consensus among governments and OECD bodies.
Location: Paris, Île-de-France Region, France
Salary: Monthly salary starts at EUR 8,098, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt from French income tax.

What you will do
- Scope work areas and develop project terms of reference through consultation with donors, national experts, and relevant data sources.
- Lead projects in research infrastructure, research funding, or research workforce, including surveys, interviews, and expert group activities.
- Organise and moderate online and in-person seminars and workshops.
- Design policy frameworks and toolkits and draft policy reports and briefs for intergovernmental audiences.
- Present outputs to the Global Science Forum, the Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy, and other bodies.
- Coordinate with divisions, directorates, government officials, international bodies, and external experts to build consensus and promote uptake of the work.
Requirements
- University degree in natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities, plus a postgraduate qualification in a relevant science and innovation policy area.
- At least five years of experience in policy analysis in science or higher education policy within a national or local administration or an international organisation.
- Substantive knowledge and experience in research infrastructure, research funding, research workforce, or related Global Science Forum priority areas.
- Proven ability to conduct research assignments, perform analytical and policy-oriented work, and synthesise issues for intergovernmental audiences.
- Fluency in English or French and knowledge of the other official language are required.
Nice to have
- PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience with research and technology security or science diplomacy.
