Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

Location: Remote, United States; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM CST

Salary: $85,730-$98,500 per year, with potential additional compensation such as bonuses

What you will do

• Architect enterprise data platforms supporting large-scale cybersecurity operations across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating structured and unstructured data from enterprise systems.
• Modernize legacy platforms with secure, cloud-enabled data solutions and develop secure REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Establish DevSecOps and CI/CD practices for automated deployments and multi-environment hosting.
• Optimize databases, data models, platform scalability, governance, quality, security, and observability for terabytes of daily data and thousands of concurrent users.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional teams, create dashboards and analytics, and support proposals with architecture documents and proof-of-concepts.

Requirements

• Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal healthcare environments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, CMDB structures, WAF technologies, SIEM platforms, vulnerability management, and security data correlation.
• Awareness of Azure and AWS services, cloud security, virtualization, containerization, and network security visibility.
• Experience with NIST, CISA, OMB, FedRAMP, incident response, detection tuning, malware analysis, SOP lifecycle management, and configuration standardization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent field plus 10 years of experience; eight additional years of relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation and maintain reliable availability during CST working hours.
