Product Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in London, England, United Kingdom; at least 3 days per week in the Farringdon office

hirify.global's Technology Solutions division builds custom applications, APIs, and AI tools for clients across the sports industry, including competitions, federations, brands, and broadcasters.

What you will do

• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to design custom solutions and make technical and feature trade-offs.
• Develop robust, low-latency solutions using AWS services and contribute to a scalable shared ecosystem of services and tools.
• Understand the purpose and customer impact of systems while helping shape project direction.
• Support sporting-event launches with fixed deadlines and go-live requirements.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development and improve system logic while maintaining human oversight.
• Work in an XP-influenced environment using test-driven development and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• Several years of experience and readiness for a mid-level software engineering role; recent bootcamp graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Strong proficiency in Python and the ability to learn and work with additional programming languages.
• Daily experience with agentic coding workflows, including Claude Skills, Model Context Protocol, and autonomous agents.
• Experience building and scaling event-driven AWS serverless architectures using Lambda, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of sports and the context of the data and markets used in the products.
• Ability to work hybrid from London with a minimum of 3 office days per week.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Java.
• Experience in the sports business.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• SQL and NoSQL data modeling for high-volume, low-latency environments.
