2nd Line Delivery Professional (Cisco)

Location: London, Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester or Glasgow, United Kingdom. Shift team coverage is required after training, including late shifts and Saturday working.

What you will do

• Resolve technical delivery incidents, changes and problems for dedicated internet access and IP VPN connectivity solutions.
• Progress service delivery requests on customer and provider-edge routers and network devices.
• Configure, commission and support connectivity services in line with customer and provider processes.
• Collaborate with customers, their representatives and internal BT teams during production, delivery and development.
• Provide remote technical support to onsite engineers during solution deployment.
• Implement efficient ways of working and contribute to delivery cost reduction.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience delivering LAN/WAN data services using Cisco and Cisco Meraki technologies.
• Practical experience with routing, switching, VLANs, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, BGP, HSRP, IP addressing, diagnostics, troubleshooting and PE/CE router configuration.
• CCNA certification or an equivalent networking qualification.
• Strong ownership, organisation, prioritisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must hold or be eligible for SC, BPSS and NPPV 3 clearance, requiring a minimum of five years of working history in the UK.

Nice to have

• CCNP certification or progress toward CCNP or an equivalent advanced vendor networking certification.
• Experience with complex technical deliveries, PE/CE configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting and service-impacting changes.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, resolving technical blockers and managing escalations.
