Principal Analyst Nickel Markets (Nickel)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Deliver short- and long-term analysis of nickel and stainless steel supply, demand, and pricing.
• Produce original market research, reports, thought-leadership content, and client deliverables.
• Monitor industry developments across battery materials, industrial nickel uses, ESG, decarbonisation, geopolitics, and recycling.
• Analyse and model nickel material flows and allocations while maintaining the material balance forecast database.
• Build relationships with mining stakeholders and research clients through written deliverables, web calls, podcasts, conferences, and presentations.
• Support product development, consultancy projects, sales and marketing activities, and responses to client enquiries.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant discipline such as mining, geology, metallurgical engineering, economics, or business.
• Detailed knowledge of nickel and stainless steel markets, including supply, demand, and pricing.
• Proven numerical analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Presentation experience and strong organisation and planning skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple locations and time zones in a global and virtual environment.
• Willingness to travel to company and client offices and undertake industry site visits.
