What you will do
- Lead the development and delivery of analytics, modelling, and governance for the UK Schemes and MGA portfolio.
- Manage and develop a team of 3–4 analysts, setting priorities and coaching technical, commercial, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Assess new Schemes and MGAs and provide independent reviews and recommendations for senior underwriting management.
- Design portfolio performance and management strategies, identify trends, and drive recommendations for profitable growth.
- Lead the creation of visualisation tools, data standards, management information, and reporting frameworks.
- Support the adoption of cloud-based data warehouses, data-visualisation products, and new underwriting software.
Requirements
- Leadership experience managing and developing analytical, pricing, or portfolio management teams.
- Strong insurance-market experience with exposure to Schemes, MGAs, portfolio management, pricing, or underwriting performance management.
- Significant experience developing and executing portfolio management and performance strategies that improve growth, profitability, and portfolio optimisation.
- Understanding of portfolio pricing, actuarial reserving, and performance management methodologies.
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, Power BI, data management, and analytical tools.
- Strong numerical, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
