Market Research and Competitive Intelligence Lead (Asset Management)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Employees work from the office four days a week, with flexibility to work remotely one day a week.

Base salary: USD 120,000–225,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, client needs, and regulatory developments across asset classes.
• Manage relationships with industry research and data vendors, including eVestment, Broadridge, and Morningstar.
• Distribute market and competitor insights through management reporting and ad hoc communications.
• Conduct custom analysis and provide strategic support for management decision-making.
• Inform product development, fund prioritization, product launches, and platform enhancement through competitive intelligence.
• Partner with Product Managers and Portfolio Advisors on product and fund positioning, while mentoring developing talent.

Requirements

• 6–12+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the asset management industry, potentially gained through strategy consulting, corporate strategy, product management, competitive intelligence, or industry research.
• Ability to translate complex strategic questions into specific, actionable analysis.
• Experience managing complex projects and delivering strategic insights.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset, collaborative leadership, and comfort working with evolving priorities and incomplete information.
