Senior Fleet Mechanic

Location: Waterford, Michigan, United States. Candidates must be physically located in the United States while performing this job.

Salary: $48,109–$80,182 per year.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, production equipment, and specialized equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle chassis, tanks, pumps, spray systems, tractors, forklifts, small engines, aerators, seeders, and spreaders.
• Document repairs accurately in an electronic maintenance management system and maintain service records.
• Manage parts inventory and keep the maintenance area clean and orderly.
• Coordinate, follow up on, and document outsourced maintenance performed by vendors and local service providers.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs, manage the maintenance budget, and respond to field breakdowns.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of automotive mechanic experience.
• ASE Certification or successful completion of an Automotive Technology Program from a certified school.
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
